Text in French, printed on paper with the recipient’s name “Louise Balmont” and date handwritten in ink; ornately illustrated with clusters of grapes, hanging game birds, platters of fancy prepared dishes; contains the quite clear
signature by her professor the famous French chef Henri-Paul Pellaprat, as well as the director of the school. Measures 18” x 12.5”, professionally framed with archive-quality red mat in heavy one inch thick black wood frame, in safety-proof glass, measuring 20.5” x 25.5” in total. Paper uniformly browned, a few folds, else Very Good. Unique piece of culinary history from the cooking school Julia Child attended and helped to make famous.
