This letter refers to a previous conversation between Chandler and Moffett regarding Moffett's personally applying for the patent of a Motion Picture machine. Chandler specifically notes that Thomas A. Edison already has a patent for a similar machine, #493,426 dated March 14, 1893 and Chandler suggests Moffett secure a copy of this patent and study it.
