Handwritten Indenture on Vellum. 1, August 1717. Rental of a house on the east side of Leicester Square, London. Measures 27" wide by 24" tall, written in black and brown inks.

Relates to the lease of house and land for 11 and 3/4 years in the area 5th from Green Street, London, [Leicester Square] by Hon. Charles Egarton to Sir Christopher des Bouverie. £10, 10 schillings per annum.

Addendum refers to responsibilty for possible repairs in the future. It measures 10" and is tightly tied w/ string on to the bottom of the main document and done in the same handwriting.

Nicely scalloped top edge with a large and elaborate flourish of handwriting of the beginning of the first T and the I. Contains the motto arranged in an oval "Honi soit qui mal y pense."
